Hey everyone!

I was super-duper excited when I was invited to the Wella Professional Elements range launch event. Why wouldn’t I be; as their name itself speaks for themselves.

Wella Professionals is a premier name in professional hair cosmetics & pioneers of innovation and trend spotting. They are the well-known salon professional division of P&G and one knows how serious they are about letting one take care of their hair while maintaining high-quality, high performance and high fashion. These 3 key elements make them the preferred brand by the world’s most renowned hairdressers.

Their constant effort is not only through their products but also by building a strong relationship with hairdressers with cutting edge technology, new initiatives and by offering comprehensive training programs for salon owners and their employees.

Isn’t this something great, to not only involving themselves but all those involved with hair care.
Their invite for the event was also inspired by nature, a cute little tea pot with a plant named Peace Lilly. You can see how cute it is in the image below.

The Wella Elements range is the first Wella Professionals range of care products which are free of sulfates, parabens and artificial colorants. Wella Professionals have also specially created a new fragrance, inspired by the green woods of the Amazon forest.

It’s inspired by nature to provide up to ten times more strength against breakage for renewed hair vitality by protecting the integral keratin structure, keeping your hair shiny and healthy.

It has NuTREE Complex, developed by Wella Professional scientists, which is enriched with natural tree extract – a powerful antioxidant that helps reduce free radical damage and anti-irritant properties to balance and calm the scalp.

The natural tree extract is joined by panthenol, also known as pro-vitamin B5, which penetrates deeply into the hair to repair the inner keratin cell structure and bind moisture in the hair. The result is hair which looks smooth, healthy and is nourished from the roots to the tips.

The event was held on 17th December 2015, at House of Tales, Kalaghoda. The entire place was decorated in a way to give us the natural feel and look of the Amazon forest.

The Wella Elements range was launched by Bollywood’s most versatile actress Nimrat Kaur, who looked gorgeous in her attire for the day. Nimrat told us how people are now more aware of the products in the market and the good and the bad that one comes to know about it through blogs, articles etc. on the internet. She spoke about how travelling and all other factors are not hair friendly. She emphasized that hair problems are faced by all making her feel worried about her hair just like any other girl even though she is a celebrity. She said that products that are organic are more preferred these days because it’s not just about the pretty little bottle anymore.

Then we had Wella’s Professional innovation expert Dr. Kerstin Meyer-Lipp who explained in detail about the ingredients in shampoos talking specifically about the sulfate which is a cleansing agent used in all shampoos, detergents, etc. which helps in  cleaning the dirt. She also told us about parabens which is an ingredient used to preserve the shelf life of your products so that you can use them longer since obviously we wouldn’t want to buy a product that gets spoilt the moment we open it.

Both these chemicals can be harmful to your hair and many people nowadays prefer not to have them in their personal care products, and thus Wella decided to come out with the Wella Elements range that is free of sulfates, parabens and artificial colorants.

Dr. Kerstin Meyer-Lipp did a small lab test to show how the elements range works well on Indian hair even when oil is used on the hair. The tests proved that the shampoo lathered well even on oily hair. She also showed us final test results of hair fall reduction after using the Wella Elements range against other shampoo products.

All the bloggers assembled there made their hair wish and put it in an envelope stuck on the Make a Wella Wish board. I wished for stronger and healthier hair.

We were served some yummy starters and some delicious cupcakes and beverages. To let us have a first-hand experience of the Wella Elements range, we were all given the Wella Elements shampoo and hair mask along with a voucher of Jean Claude Biguine.

Wella Elements range – Brief review

The Wella Elements Renewing Shampoo is transparent in color and has a mesmerizing fragrance as if straight from the Amazon forest. Its lathers well and from the first wash itself you will start noticing the difference. My hair was cleaner, smoother, healthier and shinier instantly.

It’s priced at INR 975/- for 250 ml.

The Wella Elements Renewing Mask is white in color and has a thick creamy texture; it is best used with the elements renewing shampoo. All you have to do is to spread it evenly and massage gently into your hair for 5 minutes and then rinse thoroughly. I found that it worked better than a conditioner and also it didn’t weigh down on my hair. It’s the perfect partner to the shampoo and completes your hair care ritual.

It’s priced at INR 1075/- for 150 ml.

It really felt great to use a zero sulfate and parabens shampoo and the renewing mask as I felt nature was working its wonders in its own natural way to give me an amazing #WellaHair.

The products are currently available in all leading salons across India such as Jean Claude Biguine, Affinity, Bodycraft, Toni & Guy, Strands, Tresslounge and Headturners.

You may find their products a bit too expensive, but if you are like me who believes in taking care of your hair from the beginning through natural ways rather than spending on the expensive hair treatments later, then this is surely your blessing in disguise.

My rating for these two products together would be 5/5.

If you have tried these products, I would love to hear from you as to how your experience with the Wella Elements Renewing Shampoo and Mask had been.
